Popular Ghanaian fetish priest Kwaku Bonsah has made a controversial prophecy concerning the current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, claiming that the president’s end will not be a peaceful one. According to Bonsah, both the supreme God and the local gods are displeased with Akufo-Addo due to his leadership and actions during his tenure.
In a self-recorded video that has since gained attention, Bonsah boldly stated that the president’s time in office would be marked by hardship and that his journey after handing over power to the president-elect, John Dramani Mahama, would be one of suffering. The fetish priest ominously suggested that the moment Akufo-Addo transitioned into the next phase of leadership, he would embark on a painful path toward his demise.
Bonsah emphasized that not only did Akufo-Addo fail to govern the country properly, but he also angered several smaller gods, which worsened his fate. The priest’s words were filled with ominous predictions, suggesting that the president would face significant challenges in his later years. He warned that before Akufo-Addo joined his ancestors, he would endure considerable suffering.
The prophecy took a shocking turn when Bonsah revealed that the president would suffer a stroke, which would leave him bedridden for an extended period. The fetish priest further added that after this debilitating health crisis, Akufo-Addo would eventually "buy his ticket to the land of silence," a local term often used to refer to death.
Kwaku Bonsah's prophecy has raised eyebrows, with some questioning the authenticity of his claims, while others are anxious about the possible consequences of his words. Ghanaian citizens, both supporters and critics of the president, are watching closely as the prophecy spreads. The notion that a prominent religious figure would make such a dire prediction about the head of state has fueled debates about spirituality and politics in Ghana.
Although prophecies from traditional religious figures are not uncommon in Ghana, they often stir public discourse, especially when they concern high-profile personalities like the president. As the country prepares for a leadership transition, Kwaku Bonsah’s prophecy has become a focal point, adding an extra layer of intrigue to the political atmosphere in Ghana. However, only time will tell whether the priest’s forewarning holds any truth, as the president’s future remains uncertain.
